Visible Favorited Gear making onehanded swords invisible

As the name suggests. The only change to my game recently was that steam auto updated my game. It was not an issue before that.

Are you perchance using the Lazy Item Hider mod or a Racemenu preset which hides offhand weapons on hips? I use both those mods, but I recall one time my left hand weapon stopped appearing, even though it used to be visible without issue.

I cleared out the Lazy Item Hider settings as well as the Racemenu offhand weapon settings, and the weapon appeared.

I don't know if this is what's happening to you, but I do know those are mods which can cause that issue even after a period of working fine without the problem.
