Wrathchilde
I recently joined the Thieves Guild, and I noticed that the trainers do not have the option to offer me training. I don't typically use trainers, but I wanted to in this case. I know I've trained with other non-Thieves Guild trainers earlier in the game, but this is the first time I've tried training with them. Does anyone know of any particular mod or mods that might be causing this option? I'm not sure who else is a trainer outside the guild the Riften or I'd try another one to see if it's everyone or just the thieves guild.
Wrathchilde
I've confirmed it's not every trainer in Riften. Grelka in the marketplace has a dialogue option for training in light armor. But Vex has no option to train me in lockpicking and Delvin Mallory has no option to train me in sneaking. Since this is the first time I've ever tried to train those skills this could have been an issue for quite a while (I'm level 28).

I used a combination of her training along with "OTrainers - Ostm Standalone" to get lockpicking all th way to 100 from Vex. If she's not talking to you at all, you simply might not be far enough in the questline. If she's talking to you with dialogue but isn't offering training, then I agree something you're using has broken it.

She and Delvin have finally started talking to me since I'm now an actual member of the guild, but there's no option for training. I found references to others who had the same issue with thief skill trainers, but I haven't found a resolution.
Wrathchilde
I also tried loading this game directly from Steam, bypassing Vortex and my mods. The option to train still wasn't there, but I imagine that could just be an issue because I'm loading a formerly modded game.

Personally I don't think running a formerly modded game through steam would cause this issue. I would just recommend doing the thief questline some more and trying again when you're near the end of it. I have half a dozen or more mods installed which add various forms of dialogue to NPCs, but none of those mods remove vanilla dialogues. They simply successfully integrate with the NPCs. Where a vanilla dialogue might have three or four things to say with an NPC, my NPCs generally have a dozen or so dialogue options. And yet vanilla dialogues continue to work. It would take a super broken mod to remove vanilla dialogue from an NPC, but if a mod did that, I imagine there would be complaints about it in the comments section of the mod. I suggest you just shelve your concern for the time being, play some more, and try to have fun. Then come back to this

Then come back to this That was exactly my plan today, but the gods had other ideas. This is going to sound crazy, but all it took was getting the free thieves guild armor from Tonilia into my possession. I guess they didn't consider me a true member until I stashed their armor in my backpack. Go figure.
