SilentWarlo
I fixed this through commands, I went to the house in Windhelm where Korir is found, it still shows the dialogue option to retrieve the helm but I made Kraldar as the jarl, Neloth as the steward, and Thonjolf as the housecarl through commands, and I visited his house but I spawned a few horkers and skeletons in his house which made the dialogue option to retrieve the helm disappear, but I know I should've done it by reloading the save game or disable and then enable him. I went back to Winterhold and went in the inn where the jarl is in and the dialogue option to become a thane just appeared, and I become a thane already. SilentWarlo
4 hours ago, FelipeMA88 said: Hello. Look, like i told you before i really can't help because i don't know why this is happening.....this can be caused by many variants like: 1- Script error. 2- Incompatibilies with mods.. 3- Missing plugins... 4- Mission bugged in incorrect order... And the list goes on and on..... I don't know witch mods are you using or your Skyrim version, but for now the only thing i can recommend is install the most common fixes mods out there, heres a list: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/51073 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/43532 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/33261 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34705 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32349 You can also try reinstall you game. FelipeMA88
Hello. See, more research was needed. I'm glad you managed to find a solution. I'll put the solution here in the spoilers for anyone who has this same problem if the original post is deleted. Thank you and good game. SOLUTION by zephyrain Spoiler I kinda know from some posts of various sources how to force them through console commands... That is to say, Appoint/Dethrone Jarls, their Stewards, and Housecarls. Still haven't figured out how to do so for jarl's families though(I mean, exile/un-exile them), notably Korir and Idgrod would have children... I've mostly just used MHiYH myself to uhh... re-locate their families. :v But yeah, I mostly do RP stuff without mods anyway, but it would be nice if someone could use these commands for something in making a mod already, but... In any case, here we go: STEP 1: Go to the Jarl you wish to dethrone Open console and click on him/her, now type: removefac 50920 (Jarl Faction) addfac 36629 1 (Exiled) addfac 3662a -1 (Ceases to rule) STEP 2: Summoning a new Jarl, go to the NPC you wish to crown as a Jarl (Among the playable races, though) Open console click on him/her addfac 50920 (Joins jarl Faction) addfac 3662a 0 (It's declared Jarl) Optional: addfac 36633 (Imperial government) addfac 36634 (Stormcloak government) No clue what adding them to Governments would do, but if it even does changes to the guards, I prefer the non-Civil war guards anyway. STEP 3: Configuring AI through console This is the messy part You have to type "ssq Questname" to select a quest, being the questname the name of the dialogue quest for each city e.g. DialogueMarkarth, DialogueRiften, DialogueWhiterun and so on As an example "ssq DialogueRiften" in order to change the Jarl of riften Now let's apply the changes to the quest, once you typed "ssq dialoguecity" you'll have to open console once again and click on the desired NPC, then type "forcerefintoalias jarl" If you do all of these steps correctly that NPC will begin to act as a Jarl, sitting on the throne and living in the Jarl's palace, keep or longhouse, and the former Jarl will become exiled. Also, the new Jarl NPC name will be "Jarl xxxx" instead of its original name Funny thing, I managed to f*#@ up once and put a faction on myself, and when I started conjuring stuff, they were consequently called; "Jarl Sarah's Iron Atronach" as an example. :v No clue how to reproduce that yet since it was an accident, but something interesting to explore I guess! (Nor remove them by the way, didn't even want to be jarl myself, so be sure to make a save before you even try this. ( ' ' , ) ) Last few notes quoted from the original poster: P.D: It is also possible to determine who is going to take over the Jarl 's position in case the rival faction takes over the city in the civil war. It's the same process only that in the end you'll have to type "forcerefintoalias jarlbackup" instead. But keep in mind that these substitutes must be configured as "addfac 3662a -1" in any case. Hope that I've explained myself well and clearly, if not, feel free to ask -Algiz Berana Now that I think about it, some of this might be from some facebook Elder Scrolls group? Still can't put my finger on it... Then lastly, for the respectful jarl's councilmen, this is from a different source I think? Has a smaller description of the jarl thing. These are mostly from a notepad post of mine, by the way.: Use SetConsoleScopeQuest (SSQ) [Quest] Quest: Form ID 000270A4 Editor ID DialogueWhiterun Pull down the console and click on the actor that you want to be the Jarl: ssq DialogueWhiteRun (or alternatively type ssq 270a4) ForceRefIntoAlias Jarl You can then repeat the same process on additional actors: ForceRefIntoAlias steward ForceRefIntoAlias housecarl ForceRefIntoAlias guardcaptain That about sums up the process? In any case, I don't think I need to say it, but this will f*#@ s#*! up. I myself have not participated in any side of the Civil War so I just use the NPCs as to how things might go in an actual neutral ending for myself, and also my playthrough is at its ultimate end-game. Don't even know how I can still keep it going, but yeah. :v Especially the Hearthfire stuff, like buying plots of land (which, the thane quests are already f*#@in' finicky by themselves), for example, Jarl Siddgeir is dead in my playthrough... but from the start, that quest borked for me anyway, so yeah... (Bam, Sundered throne custom-questline for me. Mooting it up and being gangsta with the noble patriarchy of Falkreath or whatever.) Other discrepancies involve no-one calling you Jarl, guards still telling you to not involve yourself in lollygaging, as well as becoming the eternal thane! I use Skyrim Reputation for some stuff anyway, so that's not really much of a concern for me. I think some person in those old threads might've put Mjoll as Jarl of Riften too, so that's interesting... Dunno if this will be of any use at all (probably break your game, but that's modding in a nutshell anyway), so that's that. ( ' ' , )
