Hluill
I've done this quest numerous times. I assumed it was part of Cutting Room Floor, but can find no reference for it there. And since I am using the "Great City of Winterhold" and "Immersive Citizens" all the NPCs's pathing is weird. Typically, I can talk to her outside her store after her argument with her brother. I get the quest and get her missing shipment. I return to Winterhold and her quest marker that seems to be in the Inn, but she isn't there. If I use the Console command to moveto her, I end up falling through space. If I use placeatme, she doesn't have that quest's dialogue. I enjoy the quest, because it allows me to get the claw more organically and more reason to explore the Sightless Pit.
SirCadsimar
Oh jeez, no wonder you're having trouble trying to figure it out, there's literally no results about this in a Google search... hmmm... She might be in the tavern, check there if she's really not in her store. Edited August 13 by SirCadsimar

scorrp10
Is the quest available with your current load order? If yes, in console you could try 'help birna' or maybe 'help shipment' and see what quest entries it lists. Or you can run SSEEdit, locate Birna under Skyrim.esm (0001C187) and check her 'Referenced By' section. If you presently don't have the mod that gave this quest, and google is no help.... then no idea.
SirCadsimar
The mod Where Are You - Lookup And Track Followers and other NPCs can help you locate, teleport, or yourself visit (teleports you to them) almost any NPC unless they have been heavily edited by other mods (for example in my game Illia is edited by several mods and I can't use this mod's functions on her). The mod is a light plugin so it doesn't take up a regular mod slot, and is okay to install to an ongoing playthrough (tested that myself) Edited August 15 by SirCadsimar
wfandrews
Are you talking about the "Yngols Barrow" quest, in which you get the Coral Dragons Claw? If you are it is a generic quest and is not added by a mod. I would see if there is a patch for "The Great City of Winterhold" or "Immersive Citizens," if not you may just have either give up on the quest or the mod or mods. Personally I would uninstall "Immersive Citizens" as I gave up on because for me it was quite buggy., continually making NPC's hostile.; that is just a personal opinion though and other people might enjoy the mod and have no problems with it. scorrp10
The vanilla quest is you talk to Birna, she says that she made a few bad deals, but otherwise is doing ok. If you ask her about bad deals, and you pass a speech check, she says she got this claw and offers to sell it to you. Not much of a quest really. I would say the OP is talking about some add-on quest for her that results in getting the claw. However, about this: Quote Typically, I can talk to her outside her store after her argument with her brother. I get the quest and get her missing shipment. I return to Winterhold and her quest marker that seems to be in the Inn, but she isn't there. If I use the Console command to moveto her, I end up falling through space. If I use placeatme, she doesn't have that quest's dialogue. You are using wrong console commands. player.placeatme will spawn an additional copy of the NPC, which has a different RefID, and therefore is not loaded as a quest alias. What you need is: prid 1c18c moveto player This will move her original copy to where you are.
SirCadsimar
"Birna's Missing Shipment" must be a quest from a new mod, for there to be literally nothing, not a single damned thing besides a link to this thread, about it through Google or Bing searches. How bloody frustrating... I wish something like More Informative Console could be used to identify where a quest came from... I mean like a quest in the Journal, I know you can use it to identify where an item, NPC, etcetera, comes from (but what does one do about an undroppable quest item they have no idea about? Besides doing the quest if possible, of course, duh) Edited August 15 by SirCadsimar slightly more details
scorrp10
In my first response to this thread, I describe how OP can check it quite easily via console For example, I added my own quest to 'Flower Girls Adventures' mod that makes Birna your lover if you help out her brother. - and gets you the Coral claw as well So when I go into console and type 'help Birna', one of entries I get is: QUST: dxBirnaOddments (281A4C2A) 'Birna Will Sell Anything!' The first two digits of the FormID (28) tell me the index of the mod it belongs to, which in my load order is 'FlowerGirls SE Adventures'. If the FormID started with FE (I.e. FE027815) , I would need to look for a light plugin loaded at index FE(027).
wfandrews
If you ask Birna if she ever had a bad deal she will say yes and the conversation will then continue to the quest "Yngols Barrow" with the coral claw. If you google "Birna" and "Witerhold" then click on the uesp link it will explain how the quest starts.
