chaaruruu
So I installed a bunch of mods all at once that improves textures and immersion, and when I launched the game it takes so long to load the main menu. The game isn't frozen because the loading animation is moving. Is this normal because I installed a bunch all at once?
AaronOfMpls
First of all, what game is it? (This is a general subforum, and you didn't say.) In general, a modded game will often take longer to load, since it has to load in your mods' content in addition to what the game came with. How long depends on what game it is, the contents of the mods themselves, their load or install order (sometimes), your computer's hardware, what other programs are running, and how nicely your antivirus plays with it all. (I know when I was still on Windows -- I'm on Linux now -- I had to whitelist some games/programs with my antivirus, or it would look too closely over their shoulder and really slow things down.) That said, if it's really taking too long, you can try removing some mods and see if it speeds things up. Start fresh, install a few at a time. See if any one or two are slowing things down more than others.
