mynger
How do I update a plugin without overwriting it completely using SSEEdit? I tried to rename the second plugin, but the program does not show conflicts.
PeterMartyr
more info I do not get it, but you need to apply a filter to show conflicts, then you save it to new patch plugin master (has the original record) slave (this overrides the master with a new record) patch (this as the same record as the master overriding the slave, restoring the original record OR it merges the two records so they all win, and there is no losers https://tes5edit.github.io/docs/5-conflict-detection-and-resolution.html some lite reading for some homework on how it works I hope that what you were asking about? Edit sometimes you cannot patch it with xEdit and you need to use the KIT.. but let's just ignore that for now, baby steps. mynger
I need to add some records from the old plugin to the new one, initially they have the same name, I renamed the new one, but conflicts are not displayed, as if all records are unique, although almost all are repeated. Ok, I figured it out myself, I just used "compare to" to compare plugins and understand where there are changes and edited the necessary records. although there may be a simpler method.
