[MOD REQUEST] Viewmodel Shake Fix

So after some research of trying to fix this bug:

Which I covered in this thread:

https://forums.nexusmods.com/topic/13498193-weapontexture-jitter-on-certain-weapons-during-ads/

I believe I have found a solution.

This Fallout NV mod shows the exact same issue, and fixes it - so I would assume it is some kind of engine issue? I'm sure someone with better understanding could explain it.

To paraphrase the mod author,  the 'Viewmodel suffers from floating point precision loss. The further you go away from the center of the world and look in certain directions, your Viewmodel will shake uncontrollably, jumping in places due to running out of decimal places.'

Is anyone able to replicate this fix in Starfield?

Here's a video of the bug in Fallout NV as well as the fix:

Shouldn't be an issue in Starfield though. New Vegas was a 32 bit app, SF is 64 bit... so, there should be no excuse to run out of precision there.....

It's so bizarre. The bug feels too similar to overlook I think, worth the suggestion!

Yeah, I watched the video, and it does indeed appear to be the EXACT same bug...... That's an NVSE plugin though, so, need someone familiar with making plugins for the script extender..... I doubt the NV version would work in SF right out of the box.

Yeh you're right! I tried dropping in the .dll from the Fallout NV mod and get an SFSE error warning me to not run the game - so no compatibility.

Calling all modders to get a fix up!
