w1r3dau
Hi Folks, I am new to all things mod related however that has not stopped me. In the past I have completed smaller mods that were just simple text based ones. Now I want to venture into the Spaceship Framework arena within Starfield Creation Kit. As I want to be able to purchase a base model ship of mine which can then me armed and flown past unity. There is a very helpful guide on YouTube but I find myself stuck between steps as I cannot launch the spaceship editor. I have created a data file with the mods I require and saved an esp of the fresh data file load. When I select a spaceship, the button that should launch the spaceship editor is greyed out and cannot be launched. I have tried duplicating the base form of the spaceship with no luck. I have followed the steps in the guide easily till now. So, if any Creation Kit guru could point me in the right direction that would save me from pulling my hair out. It really has me stumped and my experience in the kit can’t be helping.
smr1957
You might want to take a look at some of the tutorial vids for the CK linked in the pinned topic Helpful Links, References, and News, Section 3 - Tools (under the Creation Kit Tutorials sub-heading). These three specifically refer to ship construction and may thus give an indication of how to accomplish what you wish as regards getting the Spaceship Editor to load: Starfield Creation Kit Tutorial Part One Custom Cockpit and Main Hab by Corinze https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VOzFPT9LDg Starfield Creation Kit Tutorial (Part 2) Upgraded Grav and Reactor by Corinze https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1gAtheIseo Starfield Creation Kit Tutorial (Part 3) Upgraded Shield, Guns and Engines by Corinze https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=048xZJi7SCs And, even if those do not help, hopefully someone else will respond with how to open the Editor. Good luck!
