SonofThunderCatholic
Okay, firstly I almost never use the forums so forgive me if this is not the appropriate area for asking this or if I am doing something wrong in general. With that said, I know for a fact that you need permission from mod authors in order to use their assets on a mod you upload, but what about if you want to use their assets for something other than mods? For example, I like to manipulate 3D models in Blender and make scenes with them. Would it be against Nexus Mods' Terms of Service if I used a mod's assets in Blender without the author's permission? Pickysaurus
We can only control what is posted on our website, but if you want to use something and the permissions aren't open it's generally good practice to get permission first. If you're effectively just making screenshots with Blender I don't see that as an issue, but if you plan to redistribute the original files in some way you should get permission.
