anjenthedog
So you know how you leave dead bodies everywhere? (Ok, maybe not you but I do). Wouldn't it be cool if shortly after a dead body drops, a horde of vultures would descend and shred it, then fly off into the sky, leaving only the skeleton behind. Bind it to the dead body cleanup housekeeping somehow...
DirebearCoat
I gave your idea some thought, and it occurred to me that maybe, saber cats, bears, wolves, and skeevers need to start eating what they kill. Perhaps you'll come across a pack of wolves hunting down an elk, and they start eating it. After about thirty in game minutes, they take off and leave scraps. You can get scraps of animal hide, and broken antlers, but no meat. Or you could kill the predators and steal their kills to harvest good quality hides, meat, and antlers. I think its needed, otherwise the skies of Skyrim will grow dark with vultures... (LOL). Three to six vultures circling in the distance, might lead you to a dead bandit, or a dying adventurer whom you could rescue with healing and food. The vultures would then go away (upset that you cheated them out of a meal). Vultures on the ground, eating carrion would scatter and fly around, while you searched the remains of a body for loot, or for scraps of hide and broken antlers, etc. Then when you leave, the vultures would return to finish their meal. I'm saying this because, you've got to have some kind of way to loot the bodies before they're all gone. Right?
anjenthedog
That's a good point. Hadn't considered "wild" kills (by animal or by badguys on other NPCs.
BlazeStryker
I use Shovels bury Bodies (on things that deserve it, mind you) but I do remember crows were more the carrion eaters in Norse/Nordic climes. Also, you might be able to back-engineer Fallout 4's crows for the purpose.
