clemp34
Hi, I'm trying to create a new modlist from scratch, and while trying to start a new game to test if everything worked, the game would ctd on load (also when trying to load a previous save). I mostly have "basic" mods for now (debugs, optimization, ui and some others) I didn't get a crashlog until I used trainwreck, but I don't really know how to read this. Could someone help me identify what's wrong? Edit: I think the important part of the crashlog is: "Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF652C29843 SkyrimSE.exe+0CE9843" I don't know what does '0x7FF652C29843' nor how to find what it refers to. crashlog.odt Edited October 1 by clemp34 add information
jjb54
Okay, first off: Did you try TURNING OFF all mods and see if a NEW GAME starts and loads fine? - IF YES and it does LOAD fine .. then obviously you have mod conflicts. Keep all mods *OFF* and SAVE game at the point where you create your character: "Who are you?" - Then first go to each mods site and look for conflicts and bugs to see if you have any? - Yes, you have to do some homework. - Once you have determined that there is no mod conflicts, then use LOOT and assure your LOAD order is good. But make sure to note any mods that need to be at the bottom of your load list. Usually the MOD CREATOR will make this known on their page. - Then turn your mods back on and see if game works or CTD? - IF it works - GO DRAGON HUNTING! - IF it does not work, then the P.I.T.A. process must begin. .... Once again, turn OFF all mods and assure that game loads just fine. It should, unless you accidently saved. Then redo the NO MODS LOADED and save as stated above. .... Then turn ON 1 mod at a time, Load game ... until you find the cause of the CTD.

Or possibly go by halves -- turn on the top half, see if the CTD happens. Keep halving what you haven't ruled out yet.
jjb54
I understand the 1/2 - the problem with that is -> There could be more than 1 mod at play, causing the CTD in their load list.
clemp34
Hi guys, sorry I didn't do an update because after a few days with no answers, I honestly thought the nexus forums were dead actually, I didn't think anyone had answered me. My bad ! So it turns out I also asked on reddit, and thanks to that, I was able to identify what was wrong ! It actually was no mod conflict at all, I simply had downloaded the wrong version of ConsoleUtil by mistake (the SSE version instead of SSE NG), I'll be more careful next time. Thank you for your time and answers !
SirCadsimar
Was that all it was? Cool. VCRuntime was mentioned a bunch of times in the Crash Log, was almost thinking you would have to reinstall Microsoft Visual Studio or something.
