lonestar77x
So, I have used Creations in the past and wanted to get achievements for the shattered space DLC. I removed all creations mods not realizing it made no difference. I played for a couple weeks like this, unmodded. (Only the official Bethesda Mods) I installed Baka mod which is recommended by everyone. Once the dependencies were done and the folder junction enabled, i went back to my game and boom.... no save files visible. The Load text in the menu is greyed out. I followed Bethesda's support suggestions and they haven't worked. I am absolutely gutted... was at level 137... now back to 1. I uninstalled the mod and dependencies, disabled folder junction, reinstalled Starfield, run it as admin (weird bethesda suggestion)... and nothing. Really disappointed. Anyone have any solutions at all? Edited October 9 by lonestar77x Missing troubleshooting steps
HeyYou
Saves are stored in your Documents\My Games\Starfield\Saves folder. Is there anything in there? Do you have steam cloud enabled?
lonestar77x
Oh yes. All the saves are still right there, and backed up to the cloud. It's just the game refusing to read the folder. It's happened a couple times before and reinstalling while disabling the mods always fixed it. This mod is the one that has me running out of ideas. lonestar77x
I have found the save files. I also have Steam Cloud saves. To fix the issue, game had to be uninstalled, any remining files/folders deleted, then the game reinstalled. HeyYou
Installing a mod should NOT cause that..... Vortex shouldn't even be able to do that..... Something else is going on there, but, I have no idea what it would be.
