Chameleon / Invisibility bug

I have encountered an issue with the chameleon / Invisibility effect staying visually on my character on one save, but not on another character save.
The only way I've seen to fix it was to fully restart the game. Tried console commands, looking up the issue didn't really help me I have no idea if its a mod issue or a standard Oblivion issue. I am using the Rebirth+ collection any help would be appreciated.

Does the Active Effects from the magic menu show anything? You might be able to track it down from there if it's showing the effect. It's not a standard Oblivion issue that I've ever encountered.

The effect persists even when the active effect is gone.

It even carries over to loading a save.
1: Load a save the character is normal on a fresh start of the game
2: Apply any chameleon or invisibility effect once the effect wears off the character is still visibly under the  effect without the benefits. [still visible to npcs]
3: Loading the save again keeps the effect.

Just wanted to let you know, I'm running into the same/similar issue. It only started part-way into the run, but I've discovered that if Invisibility (or Chameleon) is cast, and the effect would end while my character is crouched, the character model remains 'invisible' while the spell effect disappears as normal. If the effect would end while standing, it performs as intended. This carries over to other saves, including ones where the character was definitely not invisible.

I still have no idea what is causing this, and it's driving me up a wall. I've been searching up and down the internet, nothing yet.

EDIT: A breakthrough!
Long story short, disabling Legendary Mastery fixed the problem for me (at least it seems so for now). I believe that the mod's "chameleon while sneaking" bonus is the culprit in my case.
With my limited understanding, my take is that this kind of bug is very likely if multiple sources are trying to cause invisibility at once.
