The 15.1 update prevents that and other tech companies want to follow. The end users will be miserable due to ignorance and modders and developers will have more hurdles to deal with installing what they want how they want.You would have to get notarized permission and signing software, of course, requires an Apple Developer Connection subscription. Which, for most people, is a costly thing. Phones are already like this with locked bootloaders. Something must be done now about this canary in the coal mine.
