AchillUrsus
Vortex 1.13.1 and older versions There are now extensions for 5 games which I do not own (never installed). The last one I can not even deactivate without getting a message to repair from the program! I can't believe that no one noticed this error.... Solution Nagev Posted 6 hours ago Solution Share Posted 6 hours ago Hi there, Vortex functions based on its extensions system; some extensions require others to work and Vortex will automatically download and install its requirements when it can, this is by design. In the case of the last extension you'll have to disable Fallout New Vegas as well to stop it from trying to fix its dependencies. Please stop disabling extensions that are bundled with Vortex.. It's only going to cause you trouble in the long run.
AchillUrsus
Vortex never had installed Fallout New Vegas, only the ones you can see at the screenshot. Edit: Unhided bundled, found Fallout New Vegas and followed your advice. Thanks!
Nagev
Hi again, the Fallout New Vegas game extension comes bundled with Vortex, you cannot remove it; you've received the other game extension updates as part of our emergency game extension fix deployment functionality for bundled extensions. The only reason why you still have those entries (FO4, Witcher3, Halo) in 1.13.1 is because you disabled the game extensions, which tells Vortex not to check if the updates are superseded. I think you misunderstand how Vortex works - it does not matter which games you have installed; Vortex offers modding support for around 400 games at this point; and the intricacies of how they work together require us to sometimes push updates and/or extension requirements to all users, not just a select few. The game extensions you receive updates for will usually be under 200KB so it will incur minimal disk space.
