Oldbeard2 Posted December 5 Share Posted December 5 Hi, I'm trying to do a quick modification to allow me to pick up the artefact that kept spawning slightly out of reach in a crevasse right under a flame throwing anomaly NE of ICARUS. I tried to shoot it with various caliber, dislodge it using grenades and RPG, wait for it to re-spawn (re-spawned at the same place, just move a few centimetres...). And since it wasn't the first time one ended just slightly out of reach (like another one spawning in a van wreck, right out of range) i went on a look out for a mod for it. Couldn't find one (i was sure i saw one for it a while ago but couldn't find it again) for it so i'd figure now a good time to start learning some few modding things and do it myself. Found a mod touching the CoreVariable.cfg that touch ineraction dots and such, but they did far too many changes to toher things that didn't interest me and i'm pretty sure it would mess up with the other ones installed. I've managed to understand how to unpak using Fmodel, and i've been looking at several files that seems related to items, artifact and actions but can't seem to find something significant and i feel i lack some vocabulary to know how the "pick-up" action is represented in those files. I tried modifying several lines in CoreVariable.cfg (like MaxInteractionDistance and WideTraceInteractionDistance, both set to 800) but i'm failing to see the impact in game, artifact stays unreachable). Any kind stalker 2 innards savvy modder willing to point me to the right file? I'd like to try figuring the rest on my own. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
