DragonMitko
Hi. Recently I started playing again Skyrim SE and started getting my old mods (before i played Oldrim). So i found that my favourite mod for player house is only for Skyrim and withoud further updates..... So is there someone willing to do it because for me this is the best practical mod for player home. Here i will post the original link to the mod highly hoping someone will help: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19165/?tab=description
scorrp10
I did a manual download of that mod, and dropped it into my Vortex 'Drop Files' area for my SSE setup. Sure, LOOT displays a warning that it is 'for a different game', but the castle is there in the game, everything is in place, works fine, and people in the castle look and function properly as well. I did not even have to run it through an asset optimizer. So, you can just use this mod as is in SSE. 1
melvinius
Generally you can use Oldrim mods in Special Edition. If the mod includes BSA files, you will need to extract them. But SSE can read the older texture format just fine. Sometimes you might have to optimize meshes if they are crashing SSE. Otherwise, leave them alone. If the mod has a lot of textures, it can be helpful to convert them to BC7 which is more performant for SSE. The differing form number? Don't worry about it. I've got 4000 mods, a lot of them converted from Oldrim. Very stable install. Others have said the same, that the different form format doesn't make any kind of difference. Edit: The exception would be "special" mods that required SKSE for Oldrim or other specialized utilities. Edited January 2 by melvinius
