Working on a Patch for Amazing Follower Tweaks (SE AE) and Wild Horses Creation - Help

I need help with making a patch.

AFT (SE AE) is a great follower(s) mod. However, there is an issue that comes to in between that mod and the Wild Horses Creation.
I have the anniversary edition and thus the Wild Horses creation is installed. There is a problem, however. From what I’ve read, honestly, this mod conflicts with the wild horses creation. The conflict involves where I, and other players, have gone to tame the horses multiple times, and when trying to “register and rename” one horse, it just stays as “wild horse”.
The MA himself states "this is not a bug. It does not interfere with..." and so on, and also says it would require an extensive rewrite. 
Two other people have had this issue and thus proves it is, yet he still gives the bug report the 'not a bug' status. He also claims, referring to me, "His mod made changes to the game not AFT.". 
Apparently, AFT DOES INDEED make an impact on the game. It does, and I'm being honest, work with the Wild Horses, but it just strictly bugs up the 'rename horse' function. 

I'm not here purely to rant about his mod and the bug. And I'm not being adamant either. It's just true. 

Can someone give advice on making a patch, like through xEdit or something?

Ok, I use AFT, but I never bought AE pack, so I don't have Wild Horses.  And frankly, I do not see anywhere in AFT an option to 'rename a horse'.    There are some options that allow followers to ride my spare horses, and there is a command I can issue to round up all owned horses, but I see nothing like 'register and rename'.   AFT includes a 'stables' quest which loads vanilla purchased horses as aliases, but it does not reserve them or anything.

I have also gone through the AFT scripts, those involving stables and horses,  there is no horse renaming code that I can observe.   In other words, I don't think that horse renaming is even a part of AFT, which is why its author keeps marking this issue as 'Not a bug'.   

In general about asking modder help regarding CC content:  I personally looked through the mods included in AE pack, and decided that there is nothing there worth my $$$.   AFAIK, a lot of mod users/authors are of similar opinion.   I actually have CC scrubbed from my main menu.  Just saying that a lot of people here on Nexus do not help with CC stuff simply because they do not have it.

There is no script in AFT SE AE that renames the horses, no. It is a function included in the Wild Horses creation.
But still, yes, somehow it is the one preventing the function to work.
