I have managed to successfully make a zombie holding a steel sword and the sword moves with the zombies animations but i have forgotten how i did this in blender and nifskope months ago. i have not been able to get armor to work on zombies and wondering if anyone here can help me with the steps i need to do to put leather armor on zombies. also helmets and hoods. because the zombies body is in 4 or 5 different pieces in the CS i assume ill have to add a cuirass to the zombietorso.nif and greaves to Zombierightleg.nif or zombieleftleg.nif and i know helmets and headwear is a different level. i managed one time months back to get a daedric helmet to appear on a zombie but the bottom of the helmet was glitched and had a stretched out distorted nif coming from it all the way down to the zombies feet. i have forgotten how i did this. but i remember it had something to do with parenting armatures in blender. if anybody here can help me or refer me to a site with tutorials on how to do this id deeply appreciate you and credit you for your help in my upcoming mod. motarx Posted Saturday at 04:39 PM Share Posted Saturday at 04:39 PM Nothing's bugged about the helmet its just you're missing armature groups (could be simple as re-naming, probably neck , clavicle or spine# f I had to guess ex Neck1 vs just Neck) on the zombie's skeleton. Easiest way is to just rig it bypassing those groups (ex add them to groups the zombie skeleton already has), alternative way is to add the groups of interest to the skeleton, but that's more involved.
