Not sure if anyone else finds this kind of annoying but, hitting TAB to exit certain in-game interfaces rather than the ESC key would be much easier IMO. I am hoping someone could possibly make a MOD for this or, maybe someone has a work-around or knows a way this can be changed in-game? I may have missed it in the game settings for changing controls/keys but, don't think that option was there?!

However, if you can't do it there, I remember there being a "CustomizeControls.cfg" file in the game's Local AppData folder. I dunno if that offers any additional rebinds, or only the ones available in the in-game menu. It doesn't require any tools or modding knowledge or anything, it's just a text document in your local user data. Edited December 28, 2024 by Hairymouse

I did manage to find a solution though that I somehow didn't think of... I assigned one of the side buttons on my mouse as the ESC key. Haha! Too easy; and here I am asking for someone to make a MOD for it. Haha! But I do appreciate your response and suggestion.
