As the title suggests, i'm wondering what can cause Skyrim to launch without main menu options? I'm trying to play Skyrim VR but the game freezing on the dragon logo, no menu options appear. I thought i'd ask here since it might be a universal issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you have any mods installed, particularly ones that modify the UI? Iโ€™ve encountered several issues with the UI after installing the Dear Diary mod (a SkyUI replacer), but switching to Nordic UI resolved them. Iโ€™m not sure if these mods are even available for Skyrim VR, but I thought I'd share some suggestions.

Take care ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for your suggestion. I use SkyUI. Not sure if that's the issue. I'll let you know if it fixes after i update it. If i don't respond it means its still broken. Worth a try though, thank you.

Need a whole lot more info there.    Does the game run when 100% vanilla?   (no mods, no skse at all?)   Did it run OK before?   What is the hardware setup?    Any mods installed that may affect main menu?

My VR install got a fair few mods and runs quite well  (11th gen Core i7, 64GB RAM, RTX 3080Ti, using Valve Index headset)

Sorry for the late response.

My plugins are listed below.

Here's a crash log that includes my system specs and the above information.

A massive laundry list of mods and a largely meaningless crash log are of very little value.    The two absolute biggest questions would be:

1.   When was last time this concoction worked?

2.  What changed since then?

I also know that Steam and Meta have a rather strained relationship.   I originally played Skyrim VR using Oculus Rift, and I would have to run Oculus software, and launch SteamVR  in it as a 'third-party software', and then I could run Skyrim VR.   I recently helped a friend's son set up his new Quest 3 to work with PC via Oculus Link, and the setup did not improve much.   There is also software bloat, and specs that cut it in 2017 might be just not enough.   I recall back when Skyrim VR came out, my GTX1080 struggled with it, and I did not really run anything too graphically strenuous.   These days, a GTX1070 might just not cut it anymore, especially with ENB.

My only real advice at this point, if you can't give a definite answer to the above two questions, would be going back to the clean slate.   See if you can get the game running clean, with 0 mods.    Then add back SKSE, then start adding back the basics, one by one.

I'm sorry that what i provided is of little value but it's all i can provide. I honestly don't know what else i can do. It worked around November last year and i didn't really do anything differently. I tried reinstalling everything and got the same ctd and similar crash logs. I could play vanilla i suppose. That seems to work fine. Oh well, thanks anyway.
