Where's me DMF gone? And mods won't load

Dear Modding experts 

First of all I hold my hands up to being an IT neanderthal so any help will be gratefully welcome. I have in the past successfully loaded DT mods and they worked! (my astonishment was beyond words to describe) by faithfully following the installation guide. Fast forward a year or so and I've had to have a new C drive, windows 11 and reinstall all my games. Unfortunately PC no play nicely and I cannot, despite uninstalling reinstalling weeping begging pleading and retrying several times get them to work.

The toggling bit seems to work as it patches and the mod options appears in the game menu. The problem seems to be when I drop the dmf into the mods folder. Instead of getting 'scripts' appearing in the mod folder as before it creates a sub-folder 'dmf' with 'scripts' in there. Not sure what the dmf MOD file is either. Anyway the game can't locate or read the actual mods so I think it is a location issue. I did try moving all the files in the dmf sub-folder into the mods folder and then enter the mod listing below scripts there but it still didn't work

Can you just drag and drop the scripts folder into the mods folder? (from the DMF folder)

Also, you should reinstall steam outside of program files. That's a protected folder, and win 11 is really anal about it. If you have a second drive, install it on that one... if not, just install to C:\Steam.
