MO2/Fores/Nemesis problem ('cos I am not very good at this)

Story =

I have a good, well rounded game going with good, working physics   but as soon as I try to load KS HDT-SMP hairs it crashes when I choose one for a character. So I wanted to learn what I was doing (or not doing). To this end I have created a couple of 'instances' in MO2 (one for cbbe and one for unp). I have loaded physics mods etc (HDT *) but:-

problem =

I cannot get Fores or Nemesis to work in these instances. They both work perfectly in my normal game but not in either new instance. Fores says it can't find my Data folder and 4 other Warnings (which I don't understand anyway) whereas Nemesis merely fires up, tells me to update engine then tells me to update again (and again and again and again etc.)

HELP Please =

So, I need education on how I load separate copies of Fores and Nemesis so they work only for the Instance I am working on. I am also scared that anything I do in the meantime will affect my regular game which, obviously, I don't want.

I do hope this all makes sense and that someone has the patience to educate me in a step-by-step fashion. I would be truly grateful.

While I am not sure how you can make either FNIS or Nemesis work in the separate profile under MO2, I wonder why are you even bothering if those profiles are just for physics experimenting.

For KS Hairdos - SMP, you need Fast SMP, for which you do need the extended skeleton (XPMSSE).   But while XPMSSE lists FNIS as a requirement, it is ONLY needed if you with to select alternate weapon placement/draw animations in the MCM.   As long as you stick with vanilla weapon positioning, you should be fine.

Did you go to the Nemesis mod page, and check for instructions to include FNIS?  I just changed over from FNIS to Pandora, and it works like a charm, after a couple of hiccups.  I did NOT have to use the -tesv command line argument, followed the directions for Vortex on the discussion/comments page for Pandora.
