DL1of1
So i'm very new to modding, this is my first PC modded Skyrim playthrough, and i'm getting this weird bug where the NPC skin textures are having shading issues, they will completely turn black. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? is it a skin mod issue? is it ambient occlusion (which i have already turned off in Skyrimpref, i'm still having the issue)? I have looked around online for answers, but to no avail. someone told me to delete the "enbcahe" folder, which i have already done but i am still having the same issue. Thank you for your help in advance. Hands and feet are a different texture from the body as well. IMAGES MODLIST
D3athschill
Having the same issue, but it only comes into effect mid game. Good till about 2 hours into a save. I thought it was a lighting or weather mod bug but we use diff ones, So maybe it has to do with the body.

D3athschill
The Bug came back again, seems to be a problem around fire. Sunlight is not the issue I think, but I found the reason on my end. I have a pregnancy mod and as soon as my body started to morph it created the shadow glow bug. I used debug to abor I mean undo the pregnancy and it turned back to normal lighting. Not much of a fix for you though. Do you have any mods that change your body shape mid play? D3athschill
If not maybe is some kind of lighting effect from fires like embers. I'm not using that mod though. Lanterns will probably cause the shadow bug when equipped, test and lmk i don't have this mod either. JK's skyrim also adds a lot of fire that I suspect casts the light to make this shadow bug. Has to be a fix somewhere

Has to be a fix somewhere I found out what it was. i had Sandow Plus Plus ripped bodies installed and it already had skin textures, it was combating with BNP males. i got rid of sandowPP, and guess what? IT FIXED! so maybe it's the same thing for you. I also started a new game, if that helps at all, if your save may be corrupted or whatever. Thanks for the help. But going forward, if you see issues around fire, I find this mod to the best for fixing it. I use BnP skin textures, but I use that mod over it specifically to fix problems around fire.
