KongoOtto759
Hi, so Skyrim is on sale at GOG again and I wonder what version should I choose in terms of mod support. While I'm not in awe of the additions that come with AE, i wonder if maybe future mods will be created or ported for AE instead of SE and it would be a downside with buying the 'lighter' version. Thanks
lincolnshooter
AE is just SE >1.6. On GOG its all AE, its just with and without the additional DLC. Personally I'd suggest just getting it without the additional content as its kinda meh, the good stuff (e.g. Kingath's bard college) is extra. In short unless its a mod which needs those official DLCs (which I doubt any will as there was some issue regarding those sorts of mods being published) I doubt it'll be an issue. 7531Leonidas
From what I have seen, most of the mods that require the paid AE update CC stuff are mods that are patching information WRT those mods.
wfandrews
If the cost is the same might as well get the whole package. I have been playing with the whole package 1.6.1179 and have seen no downside.
