pepperman35 Posted yesterday at 05:54 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:54 PM Working on some models which will be used as flora in the game. Does anyone know what type of collision gets applied to flora? Trying to sort this out in 3ds max.
RoNin1971
Most of it doesn't have any. Not sure what's used for trees and stuff. edit: They (tree trunks) show up red with CK, so that might be regular statics. (should work in anycase, but they will be just that. Static. No swaying with the wind).
South8028
Capsule collisions. havok content tools>physics>open convex hull utility. You choose how many vertixes and you're done.any type. Depending on the model. Maybe you'd like animated tobacco bushes for yourself. Accordingly, choose the type of collision for animations. pepperman35
I took a look at multiple flora plants (tato, corn, etc) in the farm area of a settlement. The color of the collision is white and appears box shaped. Many of the nif files are carrying NC suffix on the collision component (i.e., C_CornStalk01NC, C_FloraCarrot01NC, C_TatoPlant02NC, etc. I am thinking the NC may stand for NonCollidable so I'll try that as the object type, with a nullmaterial applied.
