Construction Set generating Model Load Error for the nif of my custom weapon

So I've modeled, uv unwrapped and textured a new club in Blender/Substance Painter. I didn't run into any errors in Nifskope when exporting my new nif and got my model to appear there (textures appear to work as well), but when I try to add it to the game world it generates a Model Load Error and the dreaded yellow exclamation mark.

What are some general issues that might be causing this? I've asked around on reddit and it might be a problem with my nif structure? I'll add some screenshots later if I'm leaving this too vague.

Thanks!

Yellow exclamation mark means the model could not be found. Check your paths again. You can test this quickly in the Construction Set by right-clicking the item in the Object Window and selecting "Preview". (This could be an CSE feature, not sure if the basic CS does this.)

So just wanted to update this for anybody else that runs into this issue. Here was my fix. I had my unpacked meshes and textures in my Meshes and Textures folders in the Data folder. In order to get my nif to work, I needed to move it to the base Meshes folder, NOT the unpacked meshes folder, even though all the other weapons had their own folders in there. Construction Set doesn't like that. Thanks for all the help!!
