Modding question: Does anybody have issues paking(ziping) files in W11?

So I was trying to create a mod, but everytime I ran the game it would crash. I've downloaded a mod made by another person, ran the game, it worked fine. Extracted the .pak(renamed to zip and extracted), compacted again with(zipped and renamed to .pak), but it started crashing again.

Is now a different way to pack files compared to KCD1? I clicked in the info box in 7z and the file that works looks like a normal zip.

Hey, same issue here today trying to use the modding tools for KCD2.

When i download manually and just drag the .pak into my MODS folder. The mod works, if I unpack it through winrar then repack it through winrar (as a zip that I later rename to .pak) it will crash saying it is corrupted.
I havn't even changed any content of the xml files within the .pak

 

Have you had any luck finding the issue ?

I think the format is slightly different with the .pak file... at least, that's what I am reading. I use 7 zip, and I am just not seeing a 'save as' or 'convert to' option. So, no clue how to fix that.
