anjenthedog
Skyrim 1.6.1170 Played vanilla up to getting the first quest (Bleakfall barrows). saved game installed SKSE and SkyUI (and SkyUI's dependencies) deployed booted game loaded last save presented with this ??? Am I correct in assuming that by installing SKSE, I lost whatever links were present to the above content? (looks like AE goodies of some sort, although I'm not sure...the fishing and survival mode point to that conclusion anyway) And for the record, I did not and have not uninstalled anything whatsoever, so it wasn't something I deleted by accident. thanks
scorrp10
These plugins should be among your files and part of your load order. They are the 4 CC mods included in 1.6.* And should have nothing to do with SKSE. Have you run Skyrim at least once via Steam after updating to 1.6.1170?

Do you mean literally clicking "play Skyrim" from the Steam applet? Hmm... I'm pretty sure I did, but in the haze of the moment not 100% sure. When it first started it up in vanilla mode, (pre SKSE installation) and I'd done the "escape" bit and exited the cave from Helgen, it asked me if I wanted to enable survival mode (and maybe some other things too... not sure) which I declined because it also said I could enable it (them?) later via the MCM. then I did the visit to whiterun and got the quest, saved, and dropped out to install skyui etc. Maybe SkyUI, or one of its dependencies goobered things up, idk, but it appears that *something disabled/deleted/whatever those four. idk, I'll have another look at it tomorrow. Probably something stupid. Good to know I don't have to chase SKSE. thanks for the reply. I'll post back with whatever I find, if I find something that is... Hi, my name is anjenthedog and I'm a dumbass. ... I forgot to install FNIS (no proper deploy without!) AND achievement enabler... All's well and game loads fine now. PS> yes I know there are alternatives to FNIS. I'll investigate that (nemesis, etc) after the foundation is built
7531Leonidas
@anjenthedog I can sympathize, just started rebuilding/modifying my mod list for 1.6.1170, and I have to take a break from time to time. FWIW, Pandora is very simple to use, and has the added benefit of installing a dummy FNIS plugin so it can handle those animation mods automatically. Patching only takes a couple of seconds on my machine, and Pandora doesn't have any restrictions on beast animations. I don't use the kinky stuff, but I can never be sure that a mod author didn't use some of those routines/packages (or something similar) in their animations.

That's the one I couldn't remember. I'll give it a look after the basics are ironed out. barely scratched the surface of my old ~700 mod game so far. The process of rebuild is a bit like peeling wall paper... Quote and I have to take a break from time to time So true! PS> one nice thing is that it gives me a chance to purge out some mods that I installed on the "Ooh...Shiny new mod!" principle and realize I don't need or want...
