Kanori24
Know how you can set something on a rug, and when you move the rug, it'll also move what you set on it? The object on the rug will be moved to the workshop inventory if you scrap or store the rug, too. Yeah, I need that to go away I don't know what's going on, but things are getting randomly linked together, and I have no idea when or how it happens. Important objects are often being moved or even scrapped when I scrap or store something totally unrelated, on the other side of town. For example, I scrap a light in the first blue house from the bridge in Sanctuary, and it took the power armor from my house with it . Sometimes I can tell when it happens, sometimes I can't. But it's really wrecking some of my builds, causing me to have to reload earlier saves and do things all over again. So, can that be disabled globally? I really don't need it. LarannKiar
As far as I remember they are linked with WorkshopStackedItemParentKEYWORD so you can try unlinking the parent and the stacked objects with SetLinkedRef(None, WorkshopStackedItemParentKEYWORD). If you unset WorkshopStackedItemParentObject you may be able to disable this behavior globally but I don't know if it's safe.
subaverage
It seems that not every object is linked. I could image that moving the rug through "Place Everywhere", the console or "Screen Archer Menu" leaves the other objects in place. Maybe it's worth a try, beacaus you don't "activate" the rug. Only move it.
Kanori24
It is so strange and chaotic how some of these links are. Last night, I removed a rug in the kitchen of Sanctuary house, only to find most of the grass objects (not terrain texture generated grass) had gone with it. Reloaded that save and repeated a few times to confirm this. @LarannKiar So about the keyword thing... do you mean via console command or in the CK? @subaverage Ah yes I do use Place Everywhere's fine movements, and even SAM's positioning for more precise placement for when things like floor pieces don't properly snap together. You're right, when I do so, only the targeted object moves. But the issue remains if I decide to scrap or store that object, other random things go with it, even if PE's 'Store Clamped Objects disabled' is disabled
