UBE uses its own model paths for all outfits, same way khajits and argonians do. So you will have same armor item be equipable by vanilla races and UBE races, each having unique models.

A typical CBBE outfit would be only applicable to regular races such as Nord, Dark Elf, etc - it looks like UBE characters are a different race, not armor-compatible with the rest, so for any outfits to be used with UBE, they need special conversion work done both with meshes and in the plugin.

Reason I ain't touching UBE with a 10-ft pole.   Too much hassle.

trying to get your CBBE outfits to work with your UBE preset, but they’re not showing up on your character. I get that this can be frustrating, so let’s break it down in a more straightforward way.

First off, you need to make sure your BodySlide setup is done right. Open up BodySlide and make sure that the preset you want to use (like UBE or UUNP) is selected. If you’re using the UBE preset, double-check that’s active when you’re batch building the outfits. After that, when you hit Batch Build, make sure it’s set to generate the outfits specifically for the body preset you’re using. If you’re accidentally building them for CBBE, they won’t fit your character’s body correctly.

Once BodySlide finishes the batch build, the next thing is to ensure that the outfits are being placed in the correct folders. BodySlide saves everything in the CalienteTools\BodySlide\ folder, so you’ll want to confirm that the files are properly linked to your game via Vortex. Sometimes, things can get mixed up if the files aren’t in the right place or aren’t properly activated in your mod manager.

Now, when you load into the game, the outfits won’t automatically equip to your character. You’ll either have to use console commands (like player.additem or player.equipitem) to manually add the outfits, or if you have a mod like an outfit manager (something like Cloaks of Skyrim or TDM), you can equip the outfits that way. If you’re not using one of those, the clothes won’t just pop up on your character without some help from mods.

Make sure your Vortex mod manager is set up correctly, too. Check your mod load order and confirm that BodySlide and any outfit mods are enabled. Sometimes if things are out of order, the game won’t load them correctly.

Lastly, if things still aren’t working, it could be that another mod is conflicting with your outfit mods. This can happen when two mods change the same files or meshes, which is why it’s always a good idea to run LOOT to sort your load order and check for conflicts.

Once you’ve done all that, the CBBE outfits should finally appear with your UBE preset. Hopefully, this helps, and let me know if you run into any other issues!

Yes, if you’re using CBBE 3BBB outfits with UBE, you’ll likely need to convert them in BodySlide to match your preset. CBBE 3BBB and UBE use different skeleton setups, so if the outfits weren’t built specifically for UBE, they might not show up correctly on your character.

To convert them:

  1. Open BodySlide and select the CBBE 3BBB outfit you want to use.
  2. Choose your UBE preset in the Preset dropdown.
  3. Click Batch Build and make sure the outfits are set to match your body type.
  4. If you get any conflicts, choose the version that matches your body preset.

If you’ve done everything right and the outfits still aren’t appearing, then yeah, a mod conflict is a real possibility. Some mods, like physics mods or custom skeletons, can mess with outfit compatibility. Try disabling any mods that modify body meshes, physics, or armor overrides and see if that fixes the issue. Running LOOT can also help sort out any conflicts in your load order.

If nothing works, you might need to check what version of UBE you’re using and whether the outfits themselves are properly weighted for it.
