it logged me into the forums but not the main site i can also login on mobile but not my pc browsers

Maybe something in your browsers or your PC is blocking access to Cloudflare, which runs the captcha?

This is almost always a problem on the users end. In a staggering majority of cases it's your system date and time (first item from the troubleshooting guide).

Ad/script blockers can interfer with the captcha. And not just browser plugins but also filtering firewalls like pfsense. So if any of that is running on your site, check your filters for cloudflare and/or that specific subdomain.
