RadicalDreamerX
Vortex version: Most recent (I keep it updated) Modded game: Skyrim AE How many mods? A lot - it's Skyrim :3 So I have been using Vortex for a while. I have plenty of modded games. I just had a thread where Vortex decided to purge correctly again. Now I am having a different issue. So when I deploy my mods, it goes through all the mods and then stops. Which is fine - Deploying typically never takes more than 30 seconds, max. However, if I make a lot of mod changes, sometimes it'll show the number of files it's deploying, and that takes longer (I don't know why, but it happens rarely, so not usually a big deal). However, now EVERY time I deploy my mods, it does this. And it takes about 25-30 minutes to finish. Like I mentioned earlier, it only would do this if I made a lot of mod changes (like modding a new game or making large mod changes, like a regularly do on Skyrim). Is there any way to fix this? It's incredibly annoying.
vortexposer
Have you set an absurd amount of override rules? Actually, something doesn't add up in that there Deploying: file count... *Nevermind, I miscounted a digit Do same as prev thread suggestion and swap to empty profile, then check your game folder's integrity. Is plausible you've orphaned files and is forcing Vortex to create oodles of .vortex_backup duplicates. Edited March 16 by vortexposer
ChemBoy1
315,912 files... That's a lot. It's gonna take some time.
Solution RadicalDreamerX Posted March 20 Author Solution Share Posted March 20 I know, but my point was it didn't used to deploy the files like that. It would do it every time I downloaded a new mod, but once it went through the files, the deployment was much quicker. Anyways, closing as Solved because Vortex is no longer doing it. That's twice now it's fixed itself. Starting to think it might be a hard drive issue. Thanks.
