Reference snap not working in Creation Kit

Recommended Posts

Sometimes i have i too, and sometimes i can solve it by either restarting the CK or by using a different object as orientation while getting back the object of interest afterwards. I assume its a bug in CK.

Try this:

- Right click (anywhere) in the Render Window.

- Choose "Render Window Propperties"

- Go to the Movement tab, and click the "Select Snap Reference" button.

- Click "Select Reference in Render Window"

- Double Click your reference. Note that you selected the right reference and not some "mist" or similar.

- [ok]

- [Close]

Drop your next reference. It should now be on a grid aligned with the snap reference.

Thanks for the replies! Tried restarting a few times, but sadly didn't work. I also tried to manually select the snap reference, but even when I apply a snap reference in Preferences it still uses the global grid. I'm starting to think it's a bug in the CK.

I did get the Next Gen update for Fallout 4. I read somewhere that it caused problems for some people, but I didn't think it could cause issues in the Creation Kit as well. Are you guys using the next gen version for Fallout 4 and the CK?
