look, I get it, you wanted to try something new, and thats good! but this was not a good change, at all. everybody hates it, it shows less info, is too compact, the coloring is all off, it just doesn't look good, at all. *please* at least put something in the settings to let us change the UI back to the old one, please I am BEGGING you

The tiles take up way too much space and it wastes time by slowing the user down. It also took away the emphasis on the trending mods and now arbitrarily determines that some trending mods displayed need to be bigger than the others, even though this isn't a meaningful metric.

Now each category for a game's mod page almost blends together because it's not readily apparent where one ends and another begins.

The major problems are layout, QoL and navigation- for me the UI look is not the problem, but the way it works and how the users interact with it. Before the site used to work with me, now it feels like I must fight the new functions to get what I want out of any usage. It feels like very little testing was done by users, maybe some was done, but that is not apparent.

1.1) there is no good reason to get rid of the old quick search: it existed for a reason to search quickly, I wanted detailed results before I press enter and bam, now if I want brevity it does not exist

1.2) why clutter the search with images and other games- the mods section often appears bellow games and images, so scrolling is necessary, and just pressing enter causes it to search for games instead; if I am on SSE nexus using the search function of course I want to actually search for other games< this is obviously sarcastic sorry.

What I mean is that I don't care for user images, videos, collections etc; and user should need to actively select them, rather than being forced to unselect them on every search.

1.3) why does quick searching now take me to a page when (similarly to the last point) I must now specify I am looking for mods: I do not search for user images, I do not need to see them, neither do 95% of users, having the option is nice, but it should be opt in, rather than opt out after EVERY SINGLE SEARCH.

1.4) The new bar placements are just downright bad, why must the filters be on the side rather than the top? Activating this UI element (either show or hide) seems to work quite slowly on my system and I suspect it has something to do with moving/showing the thumbnails. My system is by no means mediocre or bad, this is confusing. Another major flaw with this placement is that filling in the fields now requires one to scroll up and down, rather than having it fit neatly within one's screen.

1.5) Why is the page navigation now absent from the top of a search page? Again this is QoL that has no good reason to be absent.

1.6) The new 'quick' search seems to be another element that now lags considerably more; the elements now take a good 2/5 seconds to show up, this is the opposite of an optimization, at least in the last english dictionary I read.

1.7) Why is there no longer the ability to search within a certain date? There are a lot of old mods that either don't work well or at all today, having only the ability to search back one year or the entire Nexus history of a game makes it far more difficult to search for anything that is older than a year, but is also not one of the most downloaded mod for a particular category. This makes modding a less safe process for new users who are unaware of safer more modern alternatives.

1.8) The disapearence

There is certainly some things I have missed. But if you fix these problems most of the criticism will evaporate.

HELLO!?? where is the date sort/filter option?? this needs to come back.

here's a scenario for ya:

1. game gets huge update... say 1 year and 6 months ago.

2. want to see the mods that came out right when it dropped.

3. nah bro, it's either 1 year or THE WHOLE THING

4. time is wasted trying to look for the mods (more ad revenue I guess)

  - - - - this must be it huh? waste everyone's time so you squeeze out a few cents per minute.

Yeah, I'm repeating whet the previous ones are saying, the new mod page is horrid. Haven't tested the search (the previous wasn't great either never got the logic -- I just tried to glance through the new mods). But I could see the page (20 newest mods) on a page, at a glance, and be somewhat sure I had seen the ones that had came since my last visit.  Obviously even this is not the case if the mods are thrown at a random order (using Las Vegas sorting algorithm? -- the worst there is according a joke told by a former student mate). As I see four mods with an overlarge picture with little actual information, have to scroll to see the whole page etc.... No no no! If this was an UI practice job, it would have not passed.
