Anvenim
On PC when you are for example in Skyrim mods and looking for a mod the search bar automatically goes to "ALL CONTENT" instead of "MODS" making searching for mods harder if you do it a lot of times, even after manually changing to "MODS" section of the search it still does not sort by your site preferences in the the results section sorting by "ENDORSEMENTS" first even if your preference is "LAST UPDATED". On phone/mobile version of the site the search works perfectly exactly like before and how it is supposed to work. TLDR: On PC after the new UI update the Searching function and Site Preference Default Sorting options do not work, but on a mobile device/mobile version of the site it works as intended. Images: The BLUE parts are how it is working right now AFTER the UI update ON PC | The RED parts are how it is supposed to be/was before UI update on PC (Mobile version of the site still works like before/how it is supposed to be) There was already a post made about this but it did not carry over to the new board. KaptainCnucklz
A search will always use "All content" as the filter for it's search if I don't manually click a different filter. This is a very annoying design choice that I can't seem to get used to. If I'm already on a game's Nexus page, it should default to filtering for only mods for that game. I'd be content if we at least got a site setting that changes the default search from being "all content" to something else. Here's an image of the filters I'm referring to. Hopefully the added text explains what I mean better too.

Staff Solution Iluviel Posted Wednesday at 08:57 AM Staff Solution Share Posted Wednesday at 08:57 AM The search has now been updated to work with Site Preferences: https://next.nexusmods.com/settings/preferences Default quick search: Controls the "type" of search that is used by default, e.g. "All Content", "Games", "Mods", etc. Default mod sorting: Controls the "sorting" of search and results that is used by default, e.g. "Downloads", "Endorsements", "Last Updated", "Date Published", etc. Please let us know how you get on with these changes and whether further improvements are needed.
