ForcedFarmer
I promise I'm not being an old man about this, but the redesigns have been generally awful I'd never use the current one if given a choice.
WanderingIvie
Chiming in, first experience with this UI update was multiple people in different (and usually very positive) discord channels pointing out that the URL could be updated to get the older, more readable UI back, followed shortly by much sadness at that trick no longer working. With the way I use the site, many things that used to take one click now require 2 or 3. I have never once wanted the default search to include media and videos and collections and other non-mod things. For a lot of us, this is a significant downgrade. Personally, I am often modding multiple games at the same time, comparing mods from different versions (Oldrim vs SSE, Fallout 3 vs New Vegas, etc.) and having those games be different colors was extremely useful, and having that easy and obvious signifier removed is a significant downgrade. I mention those two things because they're specific examples, but this isn't a comprehensive list, most people who use the site (at least, based on the modding discords that I'm in) have complaints about these changes. I sympathize with wanting to update the UI, but it's only reasonable to acknowledge that these specific updates make things worse for much of the site's user base. I'm sure a lot of work went into these updates, and probably you'd rather address specific complaints instead of just reverting back, but it would be EXTREMELY HELPFUL for a lot of us to have the option of reverting, at least until some of the more common complaints are resolved. 11
Thanksfortheawesomemods
Old UI is better. there isn't even a search by mod title in the new UI unless you go to the top and search by mods once you're at your preferred game. Sometimes updates are a step backwards in functionality. Sometimes what you already have working shouldn't be messed with. sometimes new features is just feature bloat. This "minimalist sidebar" obsession needs to die. it only works on sites that you don't need to have dozens of functions hinging on interacting with the sidebar. Please rollback to the old UI. There was nothing wrong with the old version. Stop obsessing over "new." You don't need to "leave a mark" or whatever you're doing UI designer team. You just need functional UI. Don't let sunk cost fallacy lie to you and tell you that you need to stick to the new UI because you've spent (wasted) so much time developing it.  On 3/25/2025 at 4:05 AM, Dragoneer2453 said: I swear the only remotely good thing about the new UI is the massive list of search filters. Everything else about it is awful: more dead space, physically larger items, less information per item (less space for title and description when browsing). Whoever designed it and whoever approved the design should be replaced, because they made a UI for a minority of users that, if other forum posts are accurate, have the same issues as the majority of the userbase. None of the filters are new. Edited March 26 by Thanksfortheawesomemods

garecrow
There's hardly any information available on the screen now. I used to see 20 mods on or so at once and now it's 3-6 mods. The old interface looked good and was easy+enjoyable to use. please revert this change 6
bigkudubull
100% can't stand the new UI search features. It's a definite downgrade. Nexus is a massive site in many languages, so it's pretty critical to be able to sort all files from other languages if you want a specific region. Now, every time to open up Nexus home page for any game, I have to manually scroll through hundreds of mods in multiple languages to find what I'm looking for. Why remove language filter? Also, this obsessive heavy focus on Collections is very annoying. I understand that Vortex is the house brand mod organizer, but many people use other mod organizers and don't care about Vortex Collections. All in all, I spend more time than I want or need to just to find a way around the new UI in order to find what I need. It's almost getting to be easier to do a Google search for files on Nexus rather than using the Nexus UI to search. Please give us an option to use the older and more useful UI?

maderiox
Very difficult to use the new layout The person who designed the layout does not understand what buttons users often use.
