It is more convenient for me Technically, this is what the trending sort has always been:Â https://www.nexusmods.com/games/cyberpunk2077/mods?sort=endorsements&timeRange=7 That said, having it as a discrete option in the dropdown would be nice.
AnakinTheWeird Posted March 27 Posted March 27 The one hill I'm going to die on that I need fixed before I stop bitching and go back to using the site, is how the new layout wastes so much space and yet give less material. Going from 5 mods per row down to only 4 has me doing the Jackie Chan confused face. Spreading the tiles out to compensate looks clumsy. If it's a matter of catering to mobile users, shame on you for prioritizing them on a site for strictly desktop functionality. If it's a matter of needing to keep things a certain size for the sake of the visually impaired, then why is there still so much room wasted on the sides of the screen? My 4k monitor is more than halfway taken up by empty color gradient. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't take away the banners on individual games, but because they did, it puts a big bright spotlight on the issue. Why not just do like how YouTube, Amazon, or even PornHub figured out decades ago, and show extra results based on your available screen space? If my screen is big enough to show 10 mods per row, then why not let me see 10 mods per row? Why should I be constrained to the same screen space limitations as a smartphone, which, again, should never ever have the priority over desktops on this site, ever? If impaired accessibility is still a concern, then have options for UI scaling. Which, again, I remind you, is a thing we figured out how to do decades ago. There's no excuse not to do it here. Not when the alternative is the terrible looking empty color gradient of doom. And not when the alternative is to abandon your target userbase for one that physically can't use the site for its intended function. 5 1

Plagueofdeath Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Would love a way to go back to the old UI, even if it never gets updated with new features  100 percent with ya on this. Im in my late 20s and stand with the moto if it aint broke dont mess with it. Especially because its like riding a bike or driving a car with muscle memory. New design and removing features is harder the older ya get. 6

Then they ought to limit this awful UI to phones and leave PC users alone. Edited March 28 by MrCromulent 6
EagleFour Posted March 28 Posted March 28 I haven't found anything yet that should be better in the new UI style. Quite the opposite. I liked the old style better in many ways. Better readability, list view for mods, quick search function without having to open a new page, color scheme in the posts tab, etc. Please give us the option to choose between the old and new styles. Then everyone can decide for themselves. The new style is a step backwards in many ways. 5
JawsOfOblIVion Posted March 28 Posted March 28 New UI is bad enough that upon seeing it I immediately reconsidered getting premium. Can't justify spending almost $100 a year for a site with a new design bad enough that it actively discourages use. Rather just use alternatives for now. Which says a lot, because their UIs are mostly pretty bad, yet shine compared to this. 6
