Wolfstorm
Every file I port from fbx to nif the mesh ends up having no collision. Now, these are statics, so the issue can be solved with collision boxes, but I'm curious about how to add collision in blender. ChatGPT told me fbx files have no collision by default, but then gave me wrong instructions about how to add it. Anyone knows how to add it? Maybe some tutorial? I searched the internet but search engines today are broken, so any help is appreciated.
dylbill
I've used this tutorial to add collision to nifs before:
soupdragon1234 Posted yesterday at 04:50 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:50 AM As above ChunkMerge for compressed mesh concave shapes for statics and clutter, Nifskope can do convex shells (more performant) theres also ck-cmd thats a CLI tool and less user friendly. The Blender 3.x plugin that ships with the CK can do the above plus capsule and box shapes for previous and weapons etc (even more performant). It can also do animstatics though it needs fixing up after in NIfskope as it has the wrong motion system etc values in my experience (easy fix). Read the "Exporting Blender Art Assets for Skyrim.pdf" document in Data\Tools for how to install/use. More here.
