  1. HDT-SMP is CPU intensive yes. Try Afterburner instead never had any issues with it, a bit of overclock bit of undervolt thats the sweet spot.
  2. Steam only lets you play offline for a week or so before it'll insist on connecting to its servers
  3. n.b. Form version 43 means you have an LE mod and not an SE mod i.e. its for the original version of Skyrim the 32bit DX9 game released in 2011, form 44 refers to Skyrim Special Edition released in 2016 which was recompiled for 64bit and DX11. They're different enough that Nexus has separate areas for LE and SE games don't mix them up it sounds like you're trying to use the wrong version of SkyUI i.e. the one for the old game you need the version for the new game which is 5.2 SE
  4. Skyrim 1.6.640 is the most up to date version on Steam. 1.6.659 is the latest (and only currently) available version released on GOG (theres also the version released on EPIC but no-one talks about that). And not forgotting VR, yet another build. SkyUI works on all editions except for EPIC for a simple reason - it requires SKSE for which there are builds for all versions except for EPIC. If SKSE isn't not working/not installed SkyUI won't work either. The commonest reason SkyUI will not work is because you have the wrong build of SKSE installed each build is specific to each game version for reasons too boring to go into but basically it latches onto game code addresses which vary for each game build so skse has to be rebuilt for each version. Etc. The only mods that care about game versions are SKSE dependent mods like SkyUI and SKSE plugins (.dll's) all other mods will work for all versions including EPIC. Theres a list of skse plugins that are compatible with game versions but its for regular Steam versions VR seems to be neglected - there aren't many that compiled for GOG and none at all for EPIC: https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins
  5. I've no idea what codsworth means but ma'am is short for madam i.e. an honorific prefix addressing a female of importance and nothing to do with "mum". Its also pronounced differently depending on where you're from "mai'm" in the US but "mah'm" over here which I guess is where you're confusing the two. "Mum's the word" is also used the same here too but I've no idea why it should mean keep your mouth shut though its possibly related to mumble, mumbling, i.e. silent or inaudible speech. Theres also "keep mum" which means the same thing. Language is a funny thing.
  6. I'm not that bothered honestly pronunciation varies according to accent as much as anything else so long as you can understand what they're saying thats good enough for example "bath" is pronounced ba'th i.e. a very short clipped "a" sound in the north whilst in the south its "baath" or "barth" i.e. a long "aa" sound both are valid pronunciations at least over here. Thats true of scientific words as often as not it can sound comical they way people pronounce them different to what you're expecting but with many of them there simply isn't an official pronunciation so its just a valid as yours For americans its "mom" (canadians too?) everywhere else its "mum"
  7. Output is the issue really especially as Nemesis doesn't even tell you what files its generated nor where its put them My solution for this is... use MO2 and fish the files out of the Overwrite folder and the same applies for other tools that do similar. Not ideal.
  8. I'm nearly 6'2" and 15 1/2 stone. Don't ask me to convert that into metric or americaneeze.
  9. I was a member there for years not a regular too much would I would call low quality posting and not too bright either. And I would agree with the comment above about the politics section but that tends to be the case with forums of the type I can think of another thats no different just full of people with nothing else to do but argue left wing politics all day.
  10. Lol I must be the only person who enjoyed season one maybe because I wasn't expecting too much. I've yet to see it I'll wait till they're all on Prime and then binge watch the lot.
  11. 25th as a rule (historically it was the 26th hence "boxing day" when presents were unboxed but that hasn't happened in a very long time certainly not within living memory)
  12. You need the CC content to use the mod and you get CC content from Bethesda.net (ingame menu) and you purchase credits on Steam
  13. Site Bot has gazillions of posts, never gets a break, never complains, never gets a warning, sucks it up and no-one cares a hoot about him. He's a saint I tell you!
  14. Reading the hilariously trashing reviews on Amazon, if human ire could somehow materialise into a mutable force the entire internet would have probably have exploded by now. Rather like vogon poetry this place is mild by comparison. I've been catching up with it on Prime and I have to say I... really enjoyed it. Whoever wrote the script has a deep knowledge and love of TNG and it was fascinating to see something of the... humanity of the old show back in way I recognised. It was very... cerebral and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Oh sure there are things I could nitpick like the wannebe Han Solo pilot or the silly Mos Eisley come Quark's Bar of episode 5 setting or... the fact that Legolas appears to have joined the crew and it seems the writers can't really decide what to do with him... but the core of made the original show special what I loved about it is there and present in JL. After the trying-too-hard Enterprise or the I-can't-bear-to-watch-past-the-first-three-episodes of Discovery, and the visually gorgeouis but utterly vacuous JJ's latest ST or the even more visually impressive but instantly forgettable popcorn movie that was The Rise of Skywalker - this was a rare treat. Bravo. The first season was pretty dire as I did rewatch some of them many years later and it was painful, season three was when it hit its stride all the way into seven when it tailed off, it was obviously everyone was getting tired of working on it the actors included. But if you don't like Data then theres probably not much point watching this then lol. Wow an outlier. I can't disagree with the latter though.
  15. I always open the Archive.exe tool directly rather than go via the CK which makes too many mistakes/screws things up. Create a folder called Data, put all your files in their appropriate subfolders inside that i.e. Meshes, Sounds, Scripts etc. You can include Textures as well or create a separate {MyMod} - Textures.bsa. XboxOne should always have a separate {MyMod} - Textures.bsa. Drag 'n' drop the Data folder into the Archive window. You should see all the files listed. Under the Edit dropdown click Check All Items. Tick boxes as appropriate i.e. Meshes, Textures, Sounds, etc I've never bothered ticking any others except maybe Menus if it has those. I also tick Retain File Names and Retain Strings as I find that sometimes sounds won't play if you don't, your mileage may vary. A separate Textures.bsa can also have Compress Archive ticked and should for Xbox as they have limited storage for mods. Save. Enjoy your archive!
  16. Thats a LOD tree thats not unloading, if you're generating DynDOLOD do it again but this time exclude the Whiterun worldspace Its still there if you disable plugins because the LOD is loose files in your folder
  17. Bonjour, bienvenue aujourd'hui! Ok thats about the limit if my french i'll hop off toute de suite. Au revoir for now.
  18. Indeed. I don't think anyone wants to visit anywhere at this point. Trump just stopped travel to most places in Europe........ One of the things I found interesting about the current virus scare is, doesn't seem that younger kids are nearly as susceptible as adults. Anyone remember the Star Trek (original series) where the population of the planet had been experimenting with life extending treatments, and killed off all the adults? (and the kids live for hundreds of years.....) Miri. Yes I remember. Its a bit of mystery why kids aren't as susceptible its thought their immune systems are better though that doesn't apply in the case of influenza to which they're in the at risk group (had that when I was a kid it was one of my worst experiences of my life) I'm in a higher than average risk group for coronavirus so I'd be lying if I said I wasnt worried.
  19. Wouldn't want to visit there currently.
  20. Thats funny I was watching Discovery for the 1st time the other night and thinking the same thing... guys been captured/tortured by Klingons (klingons?! What the...?!) and no-one suspects anything at all? Have they not heard of PTSD in the 24th century or whatever it is?! Apparently not. Anyway back to your scheduled programme...
  21. I was replying to the guy directly above hence the ^ I guess I'll have to add a quote to make it obvious... there we go, done.
  22. ^ 1mb was normal until a couple of years ago when a 2mb limit was introduced for non-adblock, so you're either a) on exactly the same speed you were always using since forever b) on twice the speed you were before if you turned off adblock so you're complaining about receiving exactly the same service for contributing absolutely nothing and continuing to contribute nothing. Cya.
  23. You're right about being overwhelming, Nifskope is for editing meshes though you'll need to look into 3d modelling software like 3ds Max or Blender for creating from scratch (Nifskope is easy compared with those though)
  24. If you have Pro you can use group policy editor to stop updates from automatically restarting/rebooting. The WinAero tweak tool lets you stop updates entirely but thats a bit stringent to me. It also has an option to stop driver updates as they're just annoying (just installed a "proper" Realtek audio driver but WU would revert it to its poor version if it had the chance).
