sergeantsuicide Posted April 13 Share Posted April 13 i've been making my own soundpack for Oblivion and every time i change a sound it plays way too quietly in-game. i make sure it roughly matches the same db level as the original sfx when rendering, but it still plays way too quiet. why is this and what can i do? does it have something to do with the "static attenuation" stuff in the construction set? it even happens somewhat with music too. sry if noob question and thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RomanR Posted April 13 Share Posted April 13 (edited) It can. For 3D a sound must be mono (for things like blocking sounds for example). Stereo sounds and the ones which do you want to not be affected by distance have 2D flag ticked. For better uderstanding Sound window you can look on this UESP page. Edit: Sometimes a volume can be affected by settings of your sound driver or codecs (if you use any).
