fantazyexpo Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Hi everyone, I’d like to kindly ask the talented modding community here if anyone is working on — or would consider creating — mods that improve character animations in the Oblivion Remaster. Currently, the walking, running, and general movement animations in the remaster feel very unnatural. The character often looks like they’re gliding or sliding across the ground rather than walking, and many of the animations feel outdated or even broken. It really takes away from the immersion and overall experience of the game. If anyone knows of existing mods that address this or is interested in creating such improvements, I’d be extremely grateful. I believe enhanced animations could make a huge difference for many players who are otherwise enjoying the remaster. Thank you for your time and all the incredible work you do! Best regards, fantazyexpo 1
ShaunIronside Posted April 26 Posted April 26 same here the animations are very janky especially for third person players like me !! 2
sernikiv Posted April 27 Posted April 27 That would be really great, but I think that even if the work on it were to start right now we wouldnt see the results for a couple months at least. 1
AnkoD Posted April 29 Posted April 29 They ruined the walking animation, the character now has bow legs, and the character does not distribute the weight correctly, leaning mainly on the outside of the foot, and also as if not fully straightens his knees. In vanilla Oblivion, the walking animation was perfect. 1
Northwall1 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Has anyone found a fix for this? I think the basic problem is the animation speed of the walk/run animation is supposed to scale with your actual game movement speed, but it doesn't. So if your character is really fast, it looks like they are covering way more distance than what the locomotion of their legs should do in reality, thus the gliding effect. It's very distracting and immersion breaking.
