Shadeybladey
I very, very rarely use Block and Heavy Armour, but this play though I am and I have the Power Bash feat. But how is damage calculated for Shield Bash? Does an Ebony shield do more damage than an Iron shield? If I expand my Silver and Mithril mod to include Shields, will the shield do the bonus damage against Undead and Lycanthropes like weapons in my mod? Cheers! My latest character is a "Shield Maiden", a kind of female Paladin of Stendarr who uses magick with the right hand and Shield Bash for physical damage. One Handed (Blunt) is only a Minor skill and my role play rules are that she must add Feats to Primary Skills first, then Major, then Minor and finally Miscellaneous, although she is not allowed any Stealth skills except Speech and Alchemy. I like to develop classes in Ye Olde Daggerfall Stylee and often convert AD&D classes and old Daggerfall/Morrowind classes to this format. She has a Legendary Mithril Mace for when she is in a tight squeeze. She currently has a set of Legendary Orcish armour and Shield. Heavy Armour Block Restoration Alteration Destruction Speech One Handed (Blunt only) Smithing Alchemy (no poisons) Enchanting Illusion Conjuration (no Raise Undead) Archery (Forbidden) Two Handed (Forbidden) Light Armour Sneak (Forbidden) Lockpicking (Forbidden) Pickpocket (Forbidden) Magicka 2/10 levels Health 4/10 levels Stamina 4/10 levels Many Thanks! fadeother
Damage is decided by armor rating of the shield and block skill level, so yes an ebony shield will always hurt enemies more than an iron one.
