SolidSunny954
I'm coming back to mod the game, but it won't let me get the game started with Vortex or MO2. My load order is all over the place and I took out one problem that doesn't let me start and I started to enable other mods until I got the same problem. So, if anyone is out there I need to get back to Fallout 4 modding.
fraquar
How many mods are we talking about here? 50, 100, 500? I've gotten away from trying to help kitchen sink loads - since the vast majority of those mods I either don't use or haven't even heard of. ---- If it's a reasonable number, sure. I'm not sure, I'm gonna ball park it like... over 300 mods.
fraquar
If you can start the game with all mods disabled (not deleted/removed - just disabled) then you have a stable base to figure out the cause. Activate (enable) an entire group of mods and test. By group I mean all mods that do the same thing or work on the same things: Ex. Weapon Frameworks (Tactical Reload, Bullet Counted Reload, Side Aim, etc, etc,) and the Weapons that leverage them. ----- Test. ----- Rinse and repeat until you find the group of mods that is causing the issue - then zero in on the individual mods in that group. Well, i tried. I found out that the See Through Scopes Mod (Nexus Mod Manager version) f*#@ed it up. So i disabled that mod. However when I enabled other mods, it still has that problem. subaverage
Your information is a bit too vague for saying something. So it might be senseful to post the list of mods you want to work with. Besides your game version (pre next-gen or next-gen). What do mean with game won't start? A crash? Or an endless loading screen? Do you want to start a new playthrough or are you mid game? Some general thoughts: If you want to start a new playthrough do this without any mods enabled (except F4SE and if needed F4SE Address Library) until you left Vault 111 the first time. Make a save then and don't let it be overwritten. This would be a working base to which you can always return. Enable mods at best one by one beginning with the master mods. Check whether you have mods in your load order with missing masters. Check whether you exceed the limit for mods that use a full mod slot (full ESMs and ESPs). Maybe you even exceed the BA2 limit. Mid-game, found a few mods that were the problem, playing a previous version of the game, got in the game and loaded up my file... yet I have not played the game modded because I still crash. Maybe because of my load order, or the fact I don't want to waste my f*#@ing time doing a fresh install of Fallout 4. I've tried to get this to work instead of watching youtube videos in general, waiting for Decay Part 2 of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley, (I have played that game) sometimes playing Starfield on my Series X from time to time. But the stubbornness of my load order being a s#*!, I don't want to give up on it yet. So I am trying my best to provide information of my issue. fraquar
As subaverage has said, everything is just too vague to even try to help further. All I can see is you have a save game you are trying to continue and can't - based on your "load order" rant. Problem is save files are created based on mods you are using at the time the save file was create - and nobody has any idea what you currently are (or were) using. And now I gotta figure out how to get all the missing mods and make sure my game doesn't crash with the correct load order.
