LevisageDeDior Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Hi. I've recently started working on shell meshes to imitate fur, and as far as I know how to prepare textures and meshes, my issue appears in the distance. Literally. When I'm extremly zoomed in, my shell mesh appears without any problems, but as soon as I start scrolling away it dissapears, and it doesn't need much to do so. Is there anything I may be missing? I've checked other shell-fur based meshes, like clothes, compared shaders and flags... properties. Nothing really caught my attention. My attempts were usually based on 20 shell layers with Alpha Test flag and Threshold going down from 250 by 12, so (250, 238, 226, 214 etc.) Any help will be much appreciated ♥
Hanaisse Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Sounds like you didn't generate mipmaps on your shell texture. Also (maybe just my opinion) 20 shell layers is overkill.
soupdragon1234 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 You might also want to enable blood decals for only the top couple of layers if they're applied to all 20 it really tanks FPS I find
