Diealhong Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Hello my brothers So, my current mouse is officially haunted. It double-clicks on its own and opens random apps like it’s got a mind of its own. Time to retire the poor thing. After deep research (which may or may not have included comment sections, weird reviews and one video on building a mouse from printer parts), I found two solid options: Mouse one: RedDragon White40sre or Mouse two: Red Dragon Black 7600dpi Now I’m stuck… both seem great in terms of price and features, but I’d love to know: Which one has that buttery smooth click? Which one won’t betray me during a headshot or a spreadsheet crisis? Throw your suggestions, hot takes, memes or even other model recs at me much appreciated!
HeyYou Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I have a logitech G402X, and love it for gaming. It has been very reliable in the several years I have been using it.
Rosalyne1 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I've been using a Razer Basilisk for years (bought a v2 in 2019 and the scroll wheel just broke a couple weeks ago so upgraded to a v3). I got so sick of mice developing that double-click issue, which is usually due to mechanical switches failing. The Basilisk has optical switches so it feels lovely to click and my v2 was still clicking beautifully when I had to retire it. There are other mice using optical switches but the Basilisk (wired) was a decent price and is the perfect shape and weight for me. Unless you absolutely have to for budget reasons, I think I'd look into a higher end option than the two linked or you might just end up having to replace another haunted mouse in 6 months or so.
