Since the most recent update, vortex is simply refusing to deploy some plugins.  Not ALL plugins, just a few and seemingly nearly at random?  I'm not sure about that yet.

When I google, all I get is advice about what to if vortex isn't deploying mods in general, but that isn't the issue here: this mod order worked four hours ago, until I foolishly agreed to let it update.  I don't even really know how to troubleshoot this: it isn't an error.  It just doesn't work.

Thanks for the report - this has already been fixed for 1.14.3. In the meantime you can still click on the plugin name and it will take you to the correct mod in the mods page.

I also have a problem with the new update. When I open Vortex, all the plugins suddenly become disabled by themselves, so I have to enable them manually — and this happens every time I restart Vortex.
