Vortex Version 1.14.6 Broken

The latest version of Vortex is broken. It won't allow me to sort plugins, change profiles and who knows what else. It just sits there.

I have the same problem just after updating to v1.14.6, the Plugins tab is stuck on loading for over 30 minutes and still the plugins are not shown. I was going to close Vortex and launch it again but I noticed there is high CPU usage and disk activity so I will let it work for some more time and see if it finishes whatever it's doing.

Latest update has disabled my plugins, then randomly sits doing nothing. I noticed high cpu usage so gave it some time, and now 2 hours later it's still faulty.

How can 1 update have done so much damage and yet apparently made it through your quality testing?

I get this error message. Vortex was working just fine before this new 1.14.6 update.

I don't seem to have any plugin issues, but my save data, which should be fine, is showing as "corrupted and unreadable."

I figured if I started the game I'd be able to load my save data without any problems, but with Vortex in this state I'm too scared to start the game.

I have also sent feedback and hope this issue will be resolved.

Update: still loading plugins and high CPU and disk usage, but now I got this message: "Vortex is using a lot of memory and may crash 3.58 GB". It feels like a memory leak or that the program is stuck on an infinite loop process, but that's enough for me, I will close it and wait for a fix from the developers.

I got fed up and switched back to 1.14.5 and disabled updates. Waiting for a fix before updating again.

I wouldn't even chance starting a game in Vortex's current state. Just download v1.14.5 and install as admin like normal, no need to uninstall, it will overwrite 1.14.6 and work like normal.

Now this happens. I already tried to delete the "masterlist" to force Vortex to download a new file.

1.14.6 is broken for me as well. Just updated and nothing but problems right off the bat, when 1.14.5 was working fine. Clean install just a couple days ago too. I'm having the same issues as the others.

 

Edit: I disabled auto updates, and emptied the Windows temp folder to get rid of the update, then installed 1.14.5 over 1.14.6 and the problems are gone. Seems to work fine again.
