vortexposer Posted July 5 Posted July 5 (edited) Getting a lot of grief when updating a previously functional series of (flawless) personal drafts with some bundled assets. In particular, root's folder (dinput mod type) stuff. I'll try to update additional info as I go back to 1.14.2 to at least let me continue as it were before trying to adapt or report error in consequence to this [Feature] - Verify file hashes before allowing collection upload when using replicate option · Issue #17368 · Nexus-Mods/Vortex After reading, I think I understand why changes were being made: Curator installs mod > launches game to test or whatever > file from mod gets updated once loaded (or silently modified for some other reason) which curator then proceeds to upload with the now incorrect hash that doesn't match originals = end user doesn't get the file E.g. Fallout3/NV - Vanilla UI Plus > VUI_CompanionFont.ini One of the workarounds for such circumstance I've done were to draft test to filter such annoyances and then bundle duplicate that'll be used while building said collection so that game testing would never alter originals for future me or a target end user if chooses to clone (from clean install state), as long as I reset specific bundles in between its use. Main issue rn though; is that it seems like root folder bundles can't have more than one file or something, idk exactly yet but last week sometime, I tried to adapt a clone of one of my (flawless) drafts and tings got quickly complicated and critically injured muh brainpan. And now I'm back for revenge and hope to either fix my drafts to pass newer Vortex versioning or plead for fixes. Additional notes: Root folder bundle (using replicate) previously didn't need to ship archive with updated metadata Now they do but still fails on draft upload (with multiple files) - even when they're an exact match Might also be breaking redirection of hidden file (replicated) to sit in their own custom subfolders Edited July 5 by vortexposer
