alex2avs
Version 1.9 is done ! Long Thread Ahead ! Here\'s a \"short\" test-run of NTE.I suggest to lower down the volume , due to the rather special soundtrack. Purpose :I created NTE to simplify and speed boost the retexturing process.Ever wanted to retexture an interior ?You had to look for every texture path in the nif , find each texture ,copy them into a folder and finally retexture them , a process that can take lots of time (20 meshes, lets say ?).NTE will do this for you.Just copy the nifs you want in the same folder as NTE.exe and start the program. A quite user-friendly interface will be shown , allowing you to : -Run NTE- start the search process -Export Folder- will open the folder where the textures will be copied ; if it\'s not there , it will be created automaticallyDelete Nifs this one will delete all nifs found in the folder containing NTE.exe -Repair ini-- repair the .ini file , in case you deleted it.the GUI background will be set to black -Edit Ini- - manually configure the .ini -texture path- number of textures to look after , for each nif background color -Edit Ini - Guided- - guided ini configuration- texture path - number of textures path to search after -hints included- -Read Me- will show the readme,if available -Background - here\'s a new one . Are you bored of the pitch black color ? There are 20 other colors to choose from. your choice will be saved in the .ini file , so next time when you\'ll start the application , your favoritebackground will be used.Or you can manually alter the ini , and pick your favorite color (see HEX colors)-Close- it will close the application as long it\'s not busy. However you can force it to close from task manager. Tool tips will be shown when : -the NTE search is running(\"NTE is busy\")-Nifs are deleted(\"@pathof the nif\" was deleted Message boxes will appear when : -NTE search is done \"Job Done:-Nif Deletion is done \"x+1 nifs were deleted If you have any ideas, suggestions , post'em here ;I\'ll see what I can do with them :)
Pronam
Owk, video is ok. (I can tell as my speakers were on max, so I SLIGHTLY noticed ). Cool, you can pick colors for the thing now!
alex2avs
Hmm , I'll let you and ask you all to spam me with ideas , and probably release NTE next Monday .Planning to make a Create ReadMe function , so everything will be packed into one .exe .No need for other files , EXTREMELY simple installation . I'm thinking to add some registry-related functions too
Pronam
hmmm :).. cool, sounds interesting :).I'm 'afraid' that a first wave of release shall let people request/suggest addition to it. As any other will have a different look at it. Massively Used Project Suggestions (MUPS :) ). But I can't believe what you've accomplished already, so I would not know what to add...
